Graduate Careers at the Reserve Bank of Australia
The Reserve Bank of Australia's core values – promotion of the public interest, integrity, excellence, intelligent inquiry and respect – guide everything we do. Our people have a genuine interest in promoting the wellbeing of all Australians and are committed to diversity and inclusion. We aim to ensure that all employees are treated with dignity and respect, and that they experience equal opportunity throughout their careers.
The RBA offers graduates and undergraduates from a wide variety of disciplines the opportunity to work in a unique environment with exceptional people. You will be provided with challenging work as well as tailored programs for undergraduates seeking vacation work opportunities; and graduates seeking career opportunities.
Our two-year Graduate Development Program offers comprehensive training and development. You will be able to apply knowledge acquired at university to challenging real-world situations and acquire key transferrable skills.
While graduates with any degree type can apply, honours and higher degrees, including double degrees, masters and PhDs, are highly valued, as is a genuine interest in working for an institution that has an impact on the lives of all Australians.
The RBA Internship Program (previously the RBA Cadetship Program) is an excellent opportunity for students completing their penultimate year to get first-hand experience of working in Australia's central bank. It provides eight weeks' vacation work and ongoing support to talented students who have the potential to be successful graduates at the RBA.
