Your role

Robert Bosch Australia is offering an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join them as a Graduate Advanced Engineering Software Engineer within the Two-Wheeler and Powersports department. This is a 2-year maximum-term, full-time role and is based at their headquarters in Clayton, Melbourne. This is a great opportunity for an individual starting off their career within the software domain, looking to join a well-established global organisation, to further grow and develop.

Job Highlights:

  • Exploring how to bring more user value to existing product platforms.
  • Bring product innovations to life and then incubate them towards industrialisation
  • Creating advanced prototypes for new functions or systems
  • The opportunity to work with motorcycle and powersports global customers and help to define future vehicle architectures.

Position responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting system, software and application programs according to customer and business needs
  • Elicitation of System and Software requirements to create a feasible design
  • Developing advanced software solutions on innovative end-to-end software systems
  • Identifying and correcting errors in system behaviour through methodical problem-solving

About you

Robert Bosch Australia is looking for a conscientious professional who has exceptional attention to detail, the ability to prioritise tasks, is a team player and has excellent organisational and communications skills.

To be considered for this position you are required to meet the following criteria:

  • An Engineering Degree in Software, Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics or equivalent qualification
  • Experience with the following programming languages: C++, Python, MATLAB/Simulink or ROS would be advantageous
  • Exposure to the development of embedded systems
  • Experience with CI/CD tools
  • Knowledge of statistical methods and number theory
  • Knowledge of automotive networks & protocols (CAN, UDS, TCP/IP, MQTT) advantageous
  • Familiarity with Linux os &/or development experience would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of web page development (HTML5 / JavaScript) would be advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail, time management and communication skills
  • Participation in global teleconferences may be required, due to their geographic location
