What are your thoughts on pay and bonuses at your company?
My pay is pretty good for a graduate level. I don't know how much it goes up or what the bonuses are like.
Graduate, Brisbane
Paid well as a graduate, despite the discrepancies between cohort years. Bonuses are minimal and are capped at a certain level, subject to the company's performance.
Graduate, Perth
Seems to be industry average for the graduate level, Bonus appears quite good and is fairly tied to performance
Graduate, Brisbane
Pay and particularly bonuses are poor when compared with industry peers (Woodside, Chevron, etc.).
Graduate, Perth
Base pay discrepancy across graduate cohorts', with no justification. Reduces motivation.
Graduate, Perth
I think that all graduates should be on the same pay regardless of the year they joined!

The current compensation package no longer aligns competitively with industry standards or compensation packages offered in other sectors. Over my tenure at the company, salary increases have been notably modest, and bonuses have failed to reach significant levels. There is untapped potential for growth and improvement in this regard within the organization.
Graduate, Brisbane
As graduates we can expect to be on a lower salary, however it can be frustrating when we are doing the same work/more than normal employees and do not get recognized for this. I have only had one bonus and have nothing to compare to, so I was happy.
Graduate, Brisbane
Pay is highest out of the graduate roles I received offers for. Have yet to receive a bonus but they seem to be in the realm of 5-10k for graduates.
Graduate, Adelaide
Due to no prior work experience with other companies, difficult to gauge satisfaction with pay and bonuses. Compared to other entry level positions at other companies, my pay seems quite competitive, and I am quite satisfied with it. In terms of bonuses, unable to judge due to that opportunity not yet arising.
Graduate, Perth
Other companies in the same industry pay their graduates much more money. This makes it quite tempting to move companies once I finish the graduate program. The bonus scheme is set so graduate engineers predominantly sit at the bottom of the rankings and do not receive proportional bonuses as other staff
Graduate, Brisbane
POOR. Remuneration is NOT where it needs to be, especially for a company like Santos. Other companies have much higher salaries for the same role. TFR increases for graduates are unsustainably low. Bonuses at Santos are nowhere near those offered by competitors. This is a serious concern in the graduate community.
Graduate, Brisbane
Pay is very competitive at graduate level and bonuses are great.
Graduate, Adelaide
Given industry pay is good however I dont believe it is consistent across all areas and job levels

Not really satisfied at the moment because of the tax imposed. Since PNG has a much higher tax rates compared to Australia and other countries where Santos operates, the company should make exceptions to increase the salaries of its employees in PNG to compensate for it.

PNG lifestyle and living cost has risen in terms of inflation and tax and so the pay package doesn't fit the economical market and housing standard.

I can't really complain about the pay at this stage of my career and bonuses in recent years have been good apart from perhaps the most recent annual bonus. It is beyond the Graduate Program that Santos falls behind its industry peers in terms of pay and bonuses, so much so that almost all graduates have left Santos upon completion of the Graduate Program in Perth.

I am very unhappy with my salary. I already know the cohort above me started their grad program with salary higher than what I am currently on now and the big gap has never been addressed. People from other companies have offered higher salary than Santos, but I turned it down because they are not an operator company, and I would like to stay with an operator company (at least until I finish my grad program). Comparing apple with apple (operator with operator), Santos is not competitive by a long shot. Site allowance at Santos is also not competitive by a long shot (i.e. Santos' best site allowance is 1/7 of what other operator is providing and Santos does not provide TOIL for everyday that you are away).

What are your company's best or most unusual perks? For example: free tickets, free dinners, moving expenses, taxis, pension, etc.
They randomly do a draw for free Red's tickets. That is about it I think. They also pay for rent if you have to relocate (sounds pretty good to me)
Graduate, Brisbane
Gym membership reimbursement, corporate hotel discounts, Ubers covered for work related activities.
Graduate, Perth
Relocation cost covering is great. Work trips are fully reimbursed, the opportunity to get free rugby/afl tickets are available. Parental leave policies are good.
Graduate, Brisbane
Flex Friday WFH Flex work hrs (start and finish times, breaks etc.)
Graduate, Perth
The gym program Santos offers is great, however it isn't very well communicated and advertised. Share match is good as well.
Graduate, Perth
Flex Friday's, which really is just having more flexible working hours as you still have to work your usual hours.
Graduate, Brisbane
We have had limited perks until now. I was happy that the company [paid my relocation costs. I believe the company and relaxing its perks restrictions and considering new options.
Graduate, Brisbane
Free access to a GP in the office building. Access to instructor run classes in the work gym throughout the day.
Graduate, Adelaide
Perks include company Uber to and from the airport when required for work trips. Freedom to select accommodation from a list when travelling to work-cities.
Graduate, Perth
working 9 day fortnights and having end-of-trip facilities so I can ride my bike to work and shower there with my locker
Graduate, Brisbane
Perks are poor by industry standards (part of being a low-cost operator I guess). The only perks I receive are Flex Friday and discounted corporate health insurance.
Graduate, Brisbane
Company gym, share matching program
Graduate, Adelaide
limited perks - would be good to have some benefits or support for people who relocated for the role and want to go back and visit family discounts on flights, flexible working
Graduate, Brisbane
Health Insurance obviously.
Graduate, Iagifu Ridge, Southern Highlands Province
GP services, Gym
Graduate, Adelaide
Health insurance is most important but need more rewarding incentives. Non-monetary.

Rental assistance during secondments greatly helps staff afford moving between offices across Australia, in most cases, without rental assistance it becomes unaffordable to consider interstate opportunities
Graduate, Perth
Everything Santos offers, other operator companies offer.
