South32 is a globally diversified mining and metals company. We produce bauxite, alumina, aluminium, energy and metallurgical coal, manganese, nickel, silver, lead and zinc at our operations in Australia, Southern Africa and South America.

The Opportunity

As a graduate in our Technology team, you get to explore different technologies to find solutions to complex problems within the business. You will learn to plan, convert and deliver technical problems into real-life business solutions that will help South32 to improve safety and productivity. You'll be part of a team that's excited by new and upcoming technologies and welcoming of new and innovative ideas.

Students in the Technology function can apply to be situated at any one of our operations in Australia including the Perth office.

About you

We're targeting students in their final year who are studying:

  • Computer Science
  • Information Technology
  • Cyber Security
  • Data Science
  • Business
  • Psychology
  • Engineering (Electrical, Mechatronics, Process, Industrial, Instrumentation)
  • Data Analytics, or
  • Any degree with an interest and passion for technology

You will need to be in your final year, set to graduate by December 2019, of a relevant university degree and have the right to live and work in Australia. You will be willing to complete a medical assessment and be available to commence work in February 2020.
