The interview process was very welcoming and compared to other firms I interviewed at I immediately picked up on the more personable nature at Sparkes which made me want to work here.

Interview process and assessments were one of the best I have experienced. The graduate recruitment team sets the entire tone for the firm.

Standard process, obviously tedious but you can't get around that. I was super impressed with how Sparkes presented itself and found that the breakfast where I got to meet Andrew White, other partners, grads and so on really sold me of the culture.

Very relaxed and real. It felt like the firm really wanted to get to know me and I was given the opportunity to really get to know the firm before accepting the role.

It was pretty good, felt smooth and was always communicated e.g. when application is received, the next steps etc

Experience, why you want to work at Sparkes, who would you invite to a dinner party dead or alive and what fictional character do you resonate with.

I was asked about my experience, thoughts on secondments, and I loved the surprise question of the three people I would have dinner with an why.

They were practical like how to prioritise tasks, take on multiple responsibilities and balance competing deadlines.

Know an "elevator pitch" for the firm and don't answer questions the way you think they want you to answer them... be authentic.

Just to be yourself! Don't overthink things and know that it is ok to not know what area of law you want to work in.

Share your personal experiences even if it is not legal related (e.g. if you worked in retail/volunteer, be sure to mention it because they value that - they take a holistic approach to recruitment).
