Please provide further information on diversity with respect to women, ethnic minorities and LGBT. Please comment on issues such as recruitment, retention, promotion, child care, maternity leave, etc.
Diversity is good across the company. Diversity is a very strong asset in Suncorp's Sydney office.
Entry level, Sydney
Fairly good, still not great ratios of women in Senior leadership roles
Very strong vocal commitment and visible diversity in leadership positions.
Suncorp has a very strong commitment to diversity, this includes programs to develop women in leadership and support ethnic minorities and LGBT employees.
Overtly the company is very committed.
There's a very low amount of females in the IT area in this company but there's a shortage overall in the industry. Suncorp does a good job and having extra programs set aside for women such as Women in IT summer internship
What does your company do to attract applicants from less privileged backgrounds?
I don't think this is an issue, although I haven't paid much attention to it. I think in some areas staff are expected to behave with a higher degree of professionalism, but I wouldn't think that a person's ability to act professionally is determined by their background.
