Training & Personal Development at Suncorp Group
- Average rating for Training, based on 23 reviews7.3 / 10
Please describe the training programmes at your company and tell us what skills you've picked up.
Informal training (on the job) is good, formal training is limited due to limited funding in some of the graduate programs. Development of soft skills is highly encouraged and Suncorp has various soft skills course available for all staff - these include presentation skills, negotiations skills, team building, influencing etc.
Entry level, Sydney
There are a few training programmes provided/required through the Suncorp graduate programme. Outside of those, there are numerous programmes offered, however it is up to you to involve yourself in them. Quality of the programmes I have been to thus far has been great.
Formal training - minimal, informal also could be improved. You very much start in the deep end.
Strong focus on 'doing the work', formal training and 'exposure' opportunities are excellent
Significant resource is put into the graduate community to ensure that we are well trained and constantly up skilling.
There are a lot of soft skill training courses available, understandably most is done on the job. When working in technical roles, I think industry and general/ technical skills sessions would be of benefit.
