Toll’s history is long and diverse, from its humble beginnings in Newcastle to operations in 50 countries today and its purchase by Japan Post in 2015. We believe in creating a truly amazing customer experience every single day - regardless of location, industry or the size of each delivery. To do this, we're evolving so that we continue to be the best logistics provider in the Asia-Pacific region.
We're passionate about logistics - that's why we're investing in infrastructure to support our transformation journey. We're looking to attract the best and brightest in the field and create a place where our people can forge rewarding careers.
Graduate Development Program
Toll’s Graduate Program runs for two years, with international opportunities available during the program. As a Graduate, you will rotate across various sites in our Global Logistics division and could be based at a large FMCG or Retail customer site during your tenure. In our Global Forwarding division, you will gain exposure across our exports and imports functions, and in our third division, Express Services, you will be involved in specialised and express services.
Your rotation will also include working with one of the specialised areas of the business, for instance, Linehaul or Supply Chain Solutions.
Logistics is a 24-hour business, which means you could be working various hours depending on which site you are based at. You need to be adaptable and open to the opportunities that can present themselves during the program.
The program is designed to give our graduates an understanding of our core operations and how the business works. We want graduates who are not afraid to step out of their comfort zones or learn from the ground up.
Our program is focused on operations, so our grads are out in the business working with operational staff across our core functions. Our rotations are fast and change every three months in the first year; so you need to be able to think on your feet and with an eye on the big picture. Our graduates will adapt for an ever evolving, brighter future.
Our recruitment process
Starting a grad program is important, and it’s important to us that we both make the right decision. Our process includes, an online application, cognitive testing, video interview and if you are successful from here, you may be invited to attend an assessment centre and, potentially, a final interview. We move pretty quickly as we don’t recruit our grads a year in advance, for us, it’s three months from application close to start date.
We don’t have a minimum grade requirement, it’s about the right fit for Toll. We are seeking graduates from a wide range of disciplines with a focus on Logistics & Supply Chain, Engineering, Business & Commerce and Science and Mathematics. Our program is global, so a second language is preferred.
To be eligible you must:
- be a citizen or have PR in the country you are applying for
- have recently completed a relevant undergraduates or post graduate degree
- be able to commence in July 2018
- have a valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle
- a second language is desirable
We will open applications for our 2018 intake February 19th 2018, keep an eye out for when we open.
If you think Toll could be the right fit for you or want more information, drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will get back to you.
