Job Description

Tyro Health / Medipass is seeking tenacious, pragmatic and good humoured graduate software engineers to join our team in November 2022.

In this role you will

  • Obtain exposure to emerging technology patterns and frameworks, including:

  • Gain commercial knowledge and understanding through engagement at a high growth technology company, operating with the full backing and support of a listed bank
  • Obtain an appreciation of the challenges and opportunities unique to an Australian based business with global reach
  • Gain an understanding of leading technical product development, including the Lean-Startup product development concepts
  • Gain an understanding of collaborative, iterative software development including Agile-SCRUM methodology
  • Gain an understanding of customer-led interface design, including use of personas, user stories and wireframes
  • Model, View, Controller (MVC) architecture
  • Cloud service design and infrastructure (Amazon AWS)
  • RESTful JSON application interfaces and integration
  • Continuous integration and automated test frameworks
  • High-velocity & scalable server design via Javascript (Node.js)
  • NoSQL database models (MongoDB)
  • Responsive website development via React

Our ideal candidates

  • A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related held
  • Experience programming; Javascript, Java or other computer programming languages preferred
  • Strong technical prowess, including understanding of algorithms, systems architecture and end-user experience • Ability to work in a fast paced changing environment and deliver high quality work product
  • Ability to work well in a team establishing good working relationships with peers
  • Must have right to work in Australia or be eligible for a qualihed working/internship visa (subclass 462 or similar)
