Kane Palmer

A good portion of my work has been around analyzing different data sets, looking at machine performance metrics and outputs and trying to make decisions based on the results.

What does your job involve?

My first rotation is in the maintenance department of Visy Board Dandenong. My biggest project was working on reducing setup times on our specialty folder-gluer. This involved a thorough analysis of processes on the line, looking for opportunities to reduce setup times and improving our ability to respond to customer demand.

Learn to keep track of the small stuff as well as the big ticket items.

What is your experience of the company culture?

What opportunities did the Visy Graduate Program provide you?

I have been fortunate enough to visit a couple of other Visy sites to see how they operate in order to better understand my own projects. Visy has allocated mentors to each of the graduates
