What does your job involve?

I am working as a Packaging Engineer, where I collaborate with account managers and engage customers to provide the best packaging solution for their product(s)

Going back in time when you were at university, what three pieces of advice would you give yourself as a student?

  • Do an internship related to your degree
  • Maintain a hobby/ do a sport during your university degree
  • Travel

What is your experience of the company culture?

The people at Visy are very friendly, experienced, knowledgeable and hardworking. People at Visy are always willing to help you at any time

The graduate program has given me the opportunity to travel for work and work on projects that has helped me develop my interpersonal, communication and technical skills.

To work for an innovative company where there is the opportunity to work in different divisions/departments and grow to become a valuable asset to the company.

What skills from your degree did you utilise in the Graduate Program?

The skills that I utilise from my degree are: team work/ group project work, file management, presenting and communicating data/information, CAD, problem solving and designing/ NPD

What have been the highlights of your Graduate Program experience thus far?

The highlight of the Graduate Program thus far is being involved in several projects where I have been able to learn about the customer’s business and develop solutions for their issues

What do you enjoy most about working at Visy?

Collaborating with people from different divisions/departments to construct a viable solution for a project/issue and always learning something new from these encounters

What is your favourite part/most challenging aspect about working at Visy?

The biggest challenge and interesting part about Visy is learning about an industry that is not taught at university and applying that knowledge as quickly as possible.
