Combined Sale/Technical Role:



Associate Business Solutions Strategist - Sydney

Part of the elite Advisory Services team (within Professional Services), the Associate Business Solutions Strategist will play a key role in supporting the Advisory Services team as they provide executive level pre-sales support to VMware's most strategic customers. Advisory Services provides VMware's customers with executive level business/IT strategies, develops and evangelises technology visions, develops business cases and value models, and helps our customer to navigate the complex topic of digital transformation.

We work very closely with the professional services sales teams, as well as the wider VMware sales organisation. In this role, you will become part of the Asia Pacific Advisory Services engine room. You will work directly with the Advisory Director to help optimize and support the 18+ Advisory team, help the team conduct strategy and executive workshops, learn how to create amazing executive level deliverables, provide advice on how to adopt new technologies, present to internal stakeholders and our customers, help conduct customer round tables and presentations, help with the day-to-day operational tasks, and will get amazing hands-on experience working with the team who on average all have 10-15 year's IT experience.

We are seeking someone who likes a challenge, is a strong and confident communicator, and someone looking to be a future leader.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent social and communication skill (both written and verbal)
  • High interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team and customer-facing environment
  • Lots of energy and enthusiasm as well as a passion for all things technology

Preferred Skills:

  • Hands on IT experience from either Internships, Co-Ops, Work Experience and/or University Projects
  • Technical knowledge/experience of VMware products and solutions
  • Client facing work experience
  • Application Development Experience
  • Development of Integrated Solutions

  • Ability to start in March 2019 (program start date).
