Being based in Karratha (a smaller community in north WA), there is a lot of interaction between colleagues/friends outside of work. These relationships transfer back to the workplace making the site team more effective, and work more effective. The leadership team is very supportive in the development of their teams, and collaboration between site and Perth based individuals.
Moving expenses covered, bonuses for extended site work, discounted tickets to the ballet and other events, free ticket lottery for AFL games, regular competitions to win free opportunities, performance and recognition awards e.g. dinner
Senior leaders are very interested in grads & willing to give advice & organise professional development seminars etc. Performance based pay is based on your individual performance + the company's scorecard.
We have 3 main diversity groups at Woodside. One for Women, one for LGBTI inclusion & one for Indigenous inclusion. They are all active and all employees are encouraged to join at least 1. Woodside are driving change and pushing boundaries when it comes to diversity.
STEM in schools program whereby we go to schools all over Perth and encourage kids to take on STEM careers.
I have personally organised a healthcare focused volunteer hackathon (leveraging the company's data science skills) and started an afterschool program to teach kids to code through Woodside - both were well received and supported by management
