Pros & Cons

  • Flexible working has been the best thing about working for Woodside as it allows you to have a more work/life balance. For example, we have flexibility to choose are start and finish times.
  • Great with inclusion and diversity, job training and mentoring and lot's of teaching, and lovely people
  • The 1 on 1 training that I receive along with other opportunities that are provided for graduates. The team is really friendly and always ready to help.
  • Diverse workforce, high-performance culture with the freedom to do so
  • Culture, exciting and interesting project work, awesome office space, endless opportunity
  • Work load can at times be stressful which I believe comes with working for such a large company.
  • Lack of progression. Lack of options to choose where you want to be/work. Lack of work variety and exposure.
  • The company is too big and the complexity of simply things is frustrating. The business is more about looking good than doing good.
  • Low moral, hyper change, graduate redundancies, disconnect between leadership and those that execute work.
  • Some times workload can be stressful but I think this is what is expected working for such a large company.

Career progression looks good after the Grad Program. The 3-year Grad program is too structured, and for people with work experience is slow.

Pay and bonuses are good - note, annual remuneration increase was below inflation, eroding employee purchasing power in a competitive job market. This has been reflected in poor retention.

Graduate training focusses on competency development, with good networking and learning opportunities with senior engineers. Recent organisation changes does place less emphasis on gradate intake and formal development
