HBF Graduate Program

Our 12-month program will fast-track your learning and development in one of Western Australia's highest profile organisations. You'll gain real world experience in a range of work environments, supported by mentoring that includes one-on-one time with our Chief Executive Officer, John Van Der Wielen. You'll be able to show your potential as a future leader while learning from some of the very best who have gone before you.

Your Placements

You will have two six month rotations over the 12-month program. One will be in our busy and fast paced Sales and Operations Division (branch network, contact centre and corporate sales) and the other will be in one of the remaining eight Divisions (Technology, Commercial, Finance, Strategy & Ventures, Marketing, Group Governance, People and Culture, or the CEO Office).

At the end of the 12-month program, we'll offer permanent positions to four individuals who we believe have something special to offer HBF as future leaders in our business.

About You

HBF embraces diversity and we’re looking to engage graduates (degree or post graduate) from 2016 or 2017 (degree complete before the start of the program in April 2018) with a grade point average of 65%. Graduates in all disciplines are encouraged to apply.   You must be an Australian Citizen or have Permanent Residency status.

How to Apply

It's simple. Just send us a YouTube video (setting to 'unlisted') that showcases what sets you apart. The video should be 5 minutes or less and needs to include:

• You!
• Your degree (undergraduate or post graduate), and what your learnings would bring to HBF…tell us how your studies translate into what we do
• Your achievements in the workplace as a part time student worker (we don't mind where – McDonalds, Target, Adventure World...) …
• How you give back to the community…
• If you make it to the next stage, we'll contact you to ask you to prepare a 10-minute presentation you'll make to our Executive team (think Shark Tank – but less scary!) estimated between 29 January and 16 February 2018.
