Our leading Herbert Smith Freehills Alternative Legal Services (ALT) group is currently seeking multiple Legal Analysts to join the Disputes team on a full-time permanent basis. You will be based at our ALT hub at 600 St Kilda Road, Melbourne.

Legal Analysts work closely with Legal Managers, Senior Solicitors and Solicitors, and primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting document review
  • Ensuring compliance with financial disciplines on matters (e.g. daily time-recording.)
  • Carrying out activities as specified by the project team to ensure the matter and/or project is delivered in an efficient and timely matter
  • Providing general support to the Manager, Legal, Senior Solicitors and Solicitors

Skills & Experience

  • Completed tertiary degree in law, or postgraduate qualification
  • Ability to review, analyze and organize documents and facts
  • Excellent attention to detail; aims to get it the right first time
  • Aptitude for learning (and becoming proficient in) the use of software and IT applications, and using software tools intelligently to navigate large databases/document management systems
