About the Role

By working as a graduate within Honeywell Building Solutions you can make a difference in vital areas of our society such as education, the industrial sector, healthcare and government sectors.  At the forefront of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), Honeywell impacts on our lives with controls for air conditioning equipment and controls; security management systems, life safety and fire alarm systems, industrial controls, energy management; and general building management systems and services.  The HBS teams install, maintains and upgrades systems that enable our customers to become more competitive through improved building and process performance.

The role will complete a rotation in pricing and estimation prior to, and in preparation for working directly with customers in our Small to Medium Enterprise segment in sales development.

Graduates joining a Graduate Sales Engineer (GSE) will be responsible working with HBS sales teams to develop and complete solution and pricing proposals to customer requests for tender and new business pitches, and for driving sales for specific customer and developing business through generated leads and lead development.

In the Pricing & Estimation phase, day to day performance shall be in 100% compliance with sales process, ensure NEX/Salesforce (CRM tool) and other relevant systems are kept up to date. In addition, in this rotation the GSE will work closely with the Project operations teams and the service teams.

On transitioning to sales development, the GSE will leverage their P&E experience to develop relationships, implement portfolio management strategies and conduct campaign-based outreach for customers and prospects across the HBS verticals portfolio.

Please note this role may involve regular domestic travel to customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:

P&E rotation:

  • Completing research on opportunities to understand key stakeholder mapping, customer business and operational issues to develop customer specific unique value propositions
  •  Prepare reports and documentation to conduct ongoing customer reviews (Account/Impact/CAP)
  •  Assist in building new customer relationships
  • Retain & Grow HBS revenue in line with Sales AOP
  • Assist in service and lifecycle roadmaps

Sales Development:

  • Increasing sales by recommending new solution offerings to existing customers
  • growing the customer base and influencing cross-functional teams to eliminate barriers to sales success
  • driving new customer growth to new, existing and underrepresented verticals

Key Experience & Capabilities:

  • Undergraduate degree (4 year) in ICT, Computer Science, or Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering, with 2ns degree major (desirable – Business disciplines preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a customer driven function sales environment
  • Customer focused and problem-solving skills
