Cadet Contract Administrator | Full Time

Position Objective

The objective of the Cadet Contract Administrator is to perform contract administration and coordination functions of projects efficiently, safely and profitably using the Kane BMS.

Primary responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of the Contract Administrator are to:

  • Delegated tasks from the project plan, specifically in relation to quality, WHS, environmental management, and financial management
  • Plan and maintain BMS records for the project
  • Project procurement, subcontractor, supplier administration and change management
  • Head contract administration including claims, time and financial administration, and change management
  • Coordination and engineering support to the Site Manager
  • Project document and correspondence control and filing
  • Financial management and reporting on the project including Jobpac administration

Secondary responsibilities

The secondary responsibilities of the Contract Administrator are to:

  • Attend meetings
  • Prepare, review, and submit project deliverables
  • Assist the Project Manager and Site Manager in all aspects of the project
  • Recommend to the Project Manager on any aspects of the project
  • Maintain communications with the client and consultants to enhance project outcomes and Kane relationships

Cadet Structure

  • The cadet will receive close supervision
  • The position is recognised as a training position
  • A cadet will initially have no authority
  • Authority may be delegated to a cadet progressively by a supervisor, as skills and performance develop
  • A cadet may work as an “assistant to” and be supervised by an administrator or a Project Manager
