Legal Aid NSW is the largest legal aid agency in Australia, comprising of a Central Sydney office and 23 regional offices in metropolitan and regional centres across NSW and a number of specialist services and advice clinics. ABOUT THE ROLE

The Legal Aid NSW Judge Bob Bellear Legal Career Pathways Program offers Cadetships, Professional Legal Placements, Graduate and Traineeship employment opportunities to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders.

This position is responsible for:

  • Providing high quality advice, minor assistance and casework service to disadvantaged communities
  • Conducting an effective legal practice
  • Complying with the Legal Aid Commission Act, policies and practice management standards and undertake all related administrative and case management activities.

ABOUT YOU

The successful applicant will be a bright, hardworking law graduate who is about to embark on their Practical Legal Training in either our Criminal, Family or Civil Law Divisions. Applicants should indicate their preference in a practice area which will be considered based on availability.

The selection process will include a range of comparative assessment techniques to assist in determining capability and suitability for the role.

This recruitment will be used to fill any current vacancies and may be used to create a Talent Pool for similar future vacancies that may arise over the next 12 months.
