Sandhills Pacific Interactive Design Intern

The Interactive Design Intern is responsible for conceptualizing, creating, developing and maintaining visually appealing, user-friendly websites and interactive applications for Sandhills publications and their customers. The Interactive Design Intern has the ability to deliver an engaging user experience across multiple platforms on web or mobile devices. The Interactive Design Intern is proficient with programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Dreamweaver. Experience with HTML and CSS and responsive design are preferred. Attention to detail and accuracy are a must. Assume other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor of Multimedia Design, Art and Design, Digital Media, Advertising or equivalent degree (strong background in graphic design) preferred
• Strong computer skills including: desktop experience using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Internet/Web page design experience
• Understanding of four-color process
• Good understanding of composition/page layout
• Strong creative design talents
• Strong command of effective color schemes
• Flexible and open to change
• Stable and progressive work history
• Able to work independently and communicate within a team environment
• Able to work under deadline pressure
• Professional appearance and demeanor
