At Shell, we're developing all kinds of ideas to help meet the growing demand for energy and we're looking for ambitious students to help us do more. If you're ready to make a real impact on the world through challenging projects, apply for a Shell internship today.

Our internships are fully assessed and will allow you to get involved in real projects specifically matched to your interests and abilities. You'll receive regular and structured performance evaluations from your mentor and direct supervisor, and you'll find out what the energy industry is really like, from the inside.

You'll be assessed entirely on how well you perform during your internship, you could even secure an offer to join Shell permanently when you graduate – without the need for a further interview.

A Shell internship gives you the opportunity to:

  • Build valuable networks for future career options,
  • Discover potential job areas, fields of specialisation or area of future study,
  • Gain exposure to the energy industry,
  • Work on projects that have a real business impact, and
  • Put into practice the theories and concepts you have learned.

What we look for:

We are looking for ambitious students to help us tackle the energy challenge. You must be an actively enrolled student in your penultimate year of study. You should enjoy being challenged, so that rather than being daunted or overwhelmed if a task seems impossible, you welcome the opportunity to be innovative. You also need to be good at absorbing information, analysing problems, making objective decisions and coming up with original ideas. You should have the drive, confidence and resilience to get things done, the flexibility to work well as part of a team and the credibility to influence others.

To be considered you must :

  • Be an Australian or New Zealand permanent resident (PR) or citizen at the time of applying.
  • Be open to working in a remote location, our internship roles are based in Perth WA, Brisbane, Chinchilla, & Gladstone and you will need to be open to relocating to these locations for the 3 month programme.
  • Be available to work full time hours for 12 weeks, commencing 23 November 2020 and finishing 12 February 2021.
  • Attach your academic transcript – we need to see what units you have been studying.
  • Submit your application before 30 August 2020 5pm WST, your prompt completion of the online assessment will allow us to process your application in a timely manner

Key dates:

  • Advertising : 30 July - 30 August
  • Online Assessments & Video Interviews : July, August, Sept
  • Interviews/Case Study: August, Sept
  • Offers: Sept – Oct
  • 12 Week Assessed Internship commences : 23 Nov 2020

Let's deliver better energy solutions together.
