The new Stone & Chalk hub will connect Victorian Fintech start-ups with an innovation marketplace comprising of customers, mentorship, talent, and importantly capital by partnering with some of Australia's most successful ASX100 companies.

Many fintechs already call Victoria home, and the demand for a centre of excellence is the primary driver for why Stone & Chalk is establishing in Melbourne.

Concierge/ Hub Reception Manager

We're looking for a team member that will run our front-of-house working with the GM in the newly set-up Stone & Chalk office in Melbourne.

Having an understanding and/or keen interest in the fintech ecosystem will make it easier for you, however this is the best place to learn about fintech, and we have plenty of reading material, plus you'll gain real life experience in our office Little Collins St in Melbourne, via this Opportunity.

We pride ourselves on a collaborative, cohesive culture and will are looking for an Concierge/Receptionist that is self-led, proactive, has ideas they would like to see put into action, bags of energy and, can easily work with our team. Ideally you will have prior experience within the customer service sector, or as a concierge or running front of house, and have had measurable impact in defining positive first (and lasting) impressions through your role.

We are looking for candidates with a strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit as Stone & Chalk is growing incredibly quickly. This is environment where each team member takes on significant responsibility and autonomy. Objectives & Key Results

As the front of house you will register, provide assistance and direct all visitors entering the Stone & Chalk office;

  • Ensure the concierge / reception desk is staffed at all times during the core business hours of 9.00 am to 5.00 pm;
  • You will be the face of Stone & Chalk and the key point of contact for all tenants to report maintenance and repair issues, managing and automating the helpdesk where possible
  • Answering and responding appropriately to phone calls;
  • Sorting and distributing mail and maintaining a visitor sign-in register;
  • Being the point for reporting OH&S issues for the Premises;
  • Maintaining an access card register for the Premises and manage and distribute access cards;
  • Chief first aid officer advising the location of first aid kits located within the Premises, and ensuring appropriate levels of Safety offices allocated on site
  • Market research for particular Fintech topics/ upcoming projects during any quiet front of house periods
