      SIGSydney is on the lookout for a bright and friendly recent graduate who is interested in data systems and how they relate to the world around them to join our Quantitative Research team as a Technical Data Analyst.

      Technical Data Analyst

      Our Data Technical Analysts work with our Quant Researchers to improve the performance of our data analysis, using best practice in both optimisation and automation to have a positive impact on trading outcomes. You will interact closely with technology teams based locally and globally to provide business solutions in a fast and efficient manner. You will play a key role in influencing SIG's data environment.

      Working within a team, you will be responsible for:

      • Measurement and monitoring of system performance
      • Working with and organising large data sets
      • Assisting the Development and Infrastructure Teams in the analysis of trading and related hardware and software systems

      What we're looking for

      • Recent graduate
      • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, Data Science, Machine Learning, Electrical Engineering or related field
      • Demonstrated functional Python skills (required) and some knowledge of C++ or a willingness to learn on the job
      • Comfortable handling, processing, and analysing data
      • Energetic and enthusiastic approach with strong attention to detail and excellent collaborative skills
