Job Summary

  • 12 week program beginning 12 Nov 2018 through to 8 Feb 2019
  • Full time
  • Hobart based

Is this role for you?

  • To undertake project work to qualify the student for compulsory requirements of their studies.
  • To assist TasNetworks meet business objectives by undertaking various duties, commensurate with the individual's developing knowledge and skills.
  • Write a report of the work carried out and present the report to their work supervisor to review, add comment and sign.
  • To provide engineering support in the development, maintenance and operation of the network (distribution and transmission).

What does success look like?

  • Current Drivers License
  • Undertaking tertiary qualifications in Engineering
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in small teams
  • Good computing skills (work processing, databases, spreadsheets, programming, etc.)
  • Ability to manage competing tasks and priorities
  • Demonstrated understanding of electrical systems
  • An awareness of relevant Australian Standards
