About the role

We are offering two (2) Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander scholarships in 2020. We are looking for students studying any of the following disciplines:

  • Engineering (studying mining, mechanical, civil, geotechnical or mechatronics)
  • Surveying
  • Geology
  • Environment
  • Health and safety
  • Accounting
  • Human resources
  • Supply chain and logistics
  • Data Science
  • Law

As part of the scholarship program, you will be provided a placement on our vacation program and exposure to a range of mining projects. Successful completion of the program also provides you with the opportunity to be considered for a permanent role with Thiess as part of the CIMIC Group graduate program.

Are you:

  • A current full-time, undergraduate student in your second year (or later) of university?
  • Able to maintain a GPA of 4.5 or higher?
  • Available to complete a 12-week vacation work placement with Thiess (prior to graduation)?
  • Committed to joining Thiess as part of CIMIC Group's graduate program?
  • Eligible to work in Australia?
  • Able to demonstrate a commitment to Thiess' shared group principles of Integrity, Accountability, Innovation and Delivery?
  • Be free from bond or commitment to any other employer?
