As a UMC, your journey will begin within our retail stores working with our passionate managers and store team. You will undertake an intensive retail master class designed to equip you with the skills and experiences necessary to become a Store Manager and run a business autonomously, generating millions in sales.

To be an effective business leader, our UMC graduates are expected to start with the basics. The program has been intentionally structured to progress through different activities and responsibilities allowing you to gain a full understanding of all aspects of the UNIQLO business and its operations. We will support and guide you to develop the ability to commercially lead your own business and manage a team whilst maintaining the customer experience at the forefront at all times.

Upon completion of the program, many graduate candidates move towards senior management roles – either nationally or worldwide! Wherever your interests are, the UMC experience will set the stage for unrivalled opportunities. Your personal growth, responsibility, and achievement are limited only by your effort and abilities.

What are we looking for?

To be successful for the program you need:

  • Bachelor's Degree (any discipline)
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels of the business
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workload and deliver to tight deadlines
  • Global viewpoint and cultural sensitivity are a must
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets the business needs, including evenings, public holidays and weekends
