The VMware End User Computing team is looking for recent graduate to join our team as a full-time Software Development Engineer to help drive the evolution of our next-generation Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) platform.

In that case you would be an ideal addition to our team, working on meaningful problems, develop products for cloud scale, tackling interesting challenges, and implementing self-healing systems. Our products are undergoing rapid change, and most of your work will be on new code using some of the most current frameworks and libraries. As a key team member, you will be instrumental as we build outstanding products and architecturally-sound systems that are aligned with our business needs.

Your Role:

As a member of our team you will develop and improve products across client/server and geographical boundaries to deliver well integrated solutions working closely with other specialists in our organization. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Complete assigned development tasks (including change requests) to technical specification.
  • Understand and implement our standards for:
  • Agile processes
  • Development practices
  • Source code management
  • Testing & Peer Review
  • Investigate and remediate assigned defect reports
  • Continually improving technical skills
  • Continually gaining technical experience
  • Continually expanding product knowledge
  • Work independently and effectively in a team

You will bring:

  • Good knowledge of OOP with experience with one of the following programming languages and technologies; C#, C++, C, Java
  • Strong knowledge of Data Structures, Algorithms, Design Patterns
  • Flexibility in learning new programming languages, frameworks, and tools
  • An open mind, wanting to innovate, learn and share knowledge
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A willingness to be Agile and highly adaptive
  • A desire to take ownership and responsibility
  • A demonstrable work ethic to execute and deliver
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • A good command of English
  • Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Opportunity to solve with tough problems as part of an elite engineering team

  • Ability to start in March 2019 (program start date).
  • This role is based in Sydney, NSW.
