Your role

WorkSafe's Graduate Program will do more than just kick-start your career. It will help you to further develop your skills, learn more from talented and passionate professionals, and challenge yourself to reach your full potential.

As part of the program, you will participate in an 18-month program with 3 rotations across various areas of the organization. This will expose you to areas that you may already have an interest in exploring, as well as those that will see you step outside of your comfort zone and be ready to learn. It is often when you stretch yourself a little bit that you learn the most.

Training & development

The development program will include:

  • An 18-month development program with the option to formally exit after 12 months
  • Complete business rotations across three work areas (one every six months)
  • A range of learning and development activities including completing a graduate team project
  • Build key internal relationships and learn about WorkSafe and the public service

As you'd expect working for the state's health and safety regulator, WorkSafe leads the way in employee health and wellbeing. Here are just a few of the programs they offer, to keep you happy, engaged and feeling good – both physically and psychologically:

  1. Group fitness (choose from yoga, boxing or walking groups)
  2. Gym membership
  3. Prescription eyewear reimbursement
  4. Standing desks
  5. Free annual flu vaccinations and health checks
  6. 24-hour employee assistance programs for you and your immediate family
  7. A peer support program for frontline inspectors and investigators
