Your role

ConocoPhillips's Engineering and Exploration teams, based in their West Leederville, West Perth and Brisbane offices, have exciting Vacation Work placements for Engineering students in their penultimate year of study. These placements are paid contract positions for three months, commencing late November 2018.

Each placement provides the opportunity to:

  • Work with experts in the field of Operations or Exploration (this may include a site visit to their onshore operations facility)
  • Work on interesting and rewarding onshore and offshore projects
  • Gain experience using the latest software
  • Further develop your collaboration, research, problem-solving and presentation skills.

About you

Requirements:

  • Show a genuine interest in pursuing a career in the Oil and Gas industry
  • Be enrolled in one of the following courses:
  • Penultimate year of Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, ICE, Mechanical or Petroleum engineering) or
  • First-year Master of Professional Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, ICE or Mechanical) or
  • First-year Master of Engineering Science (Petroleum Engineering); or
  • First-year Master of Petroleum Engineering
  • Have a credit course weighted average (minimum 65% and above)
  • Demonstrate compatibility with ConocoPhillips SPIRIT values
  • Demonstrate initiative, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Be available to work in Perth for the duration of the 3-month placement (November to February, relocation support is not provided).
