Summer Interns will be provided with the opportunity to work in a SME Centre team, providing you with direct access to our high performing Relationship Managers and Analysts. You will be guided and mentored by the team, who service a range of clients across different regions in the country. In addition, given the nature of the role, you will have direct access to interact with our clients to help them with their complex financial needs.

Our Business Customer Solutions (BCS) division provides payment solutions to a wide range of customers from small businesses to corporates, governments and everything in between. We work closely with our clients through idea concept, validation, strategy, development and delivery of payment solutions specific to their business needs. As a summer intern within our BCS division, you will have the opportunity to be exposed to exciting areas of the business from problem solving, designing solutions, and formulating and executing go to market strategies for new payment products.

As a Summer Intern, you will have the scope to create relationships with Australian businesses by attending joint visitations across our diverse client base across your chosen location. You will interact directly with our clients through face to face meetings, working alongside them in their businesses to understand and meet their ever changing needs.
We consider students from ANY degree discipline, however to be successful, you will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of and be passionate about rural and regional Australia. You are interested in helping our rural and regional customers realise their own goals and aspirations. You'll be keen to meet new people and develop customer relations, whilst building a career in finance and banking in regional Australia.

As a Summer Intern working in CommSec, your experience will be incredibly diverse and challenging. Previous Summer Interns have contributed to further innovating our technology platform, have applied advanced analytical skills to identify customer insights, undertaken market and competitor research and completed, bottom-up company research and recommendations supporting portfolio investment processes.
