Gender Equality at Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts

The department aims for consistent gender balance and does so through removing barriers to work participation and career progression. 

Equality is about recognising differences and providing tools and support so everyone has an opportunity to succeed. 

The Gender Equality Network (GEN) provides professional and social networking for staff as well as support, learning and advocacy relating to gender equality in the department. The network is managed by Co-Chairs who coordinate activities and support network members.

The network also provides a mentoring program open to all employees of the department.
