Gender Equality at Iress

We actively seek to increase the representation of women across our teams and in leadership positions at Iress

Some of the initiatives we currently have in place to promote gender equality within Iress and in the community:

New Talent Programs

We have committed to 50% representation of women in graduate, apprenticeship and internship roles from our 2023 intake.

In Australia, we are introducing a scholarship program in partnership with Holberton School for two women to be skilled in technology and then provided a place as part of our graduate programs.

Iress Impact & River Nile School

As part of Iress' Foundation work, we partner with the River Nile School (RNS) to provide young women from refugee and displaced migrant backgrounds the opportunity to know more about what it's like to work at an organisation such as Iress.

We have engaged by attending career days at RNS, holding an 'Introduction to Iress' day at our Melbourne offices and providing work experience placements across our teams. We are currently piloting a ‘Bridging program’ to further support some of these students to learn the skills they need in order to be employed by Iress or similar organisations in the future.

Hiring

We have committed to increasing the representation of women to a minimum of 50% when shortlisting candidates for leadership roles

Work 180

We partner with Work 180 in order to remain competitive in our quest to attract and retain diverse talent and constantly challenge ourselves to do better.

40:40 Vision

Iress is a supporter of the 40:40 vision which means that we committed to:

  • Achieve gender balance (40:40:20) in executive leadership by 2030
  • Declare medium and long-term gender targets
  • Make our plan public to employees, shareholders, investors and the business community
  • Report annually on how we are tracking against targets

40:40 Vision is an initiative led by HESTA, supported by industry partners, to ensure diversity in executive leadership in ASX300 companies. Supporting partners include Chief Executive Women, the Australian Council of Superannuation Investors (ACSI), the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA), and the 30% Club.
