Your role

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Vineyard, UT is seeking a Summer 2024 Intern Electrical Engineer –Intern. In this role, you will organize and electrically/mechanically confirm the Altium library, work on assigned electrical schematic and printed circuit board (PCB) layout tasks as needed, and assist multiple disciplines in various aspects of UAV development. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of electrical schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium, a solid understanding of both analog and digital circuits, and a good understanding of mechanical and electrical interaction and the importance thereof.

About you

Basic Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar.
  • Understanding of electrical engineering theory and how it applies to the design of analog and digital circuits
  • Understanding of electrical components such as resistors, capacitors, inductors, transistors, and basic integrated circuits
  • Must be a US citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Desired skills:

  • Laboratory experience using common engineering tools including oscilloscopes, power supplies, logic analyzers, digital multi-meters, and other support equipment
  • Experience with printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing process
  • Familiarity or experience with small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) or remote control (RC) aircraft
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
