The Story of Marriott International Australia

Headquartered near Washington, DC, Maryland, USA, Marriott International is the world’s largest hospitality company with 30 hotel brands, falling under four segments: Luxury, Premium, Select and Longer Stays.

The company was established by J. Willard and Alice S. Marriott in 1927. It all started with a root beer stand. They added hot food to their menu, and after years, their business grew into drive-in restaurants and in-flight airline catering. In 1957, Marriott made a historic shift into the hotel business.

The first motor hotel opened in Arlington, Virginia, under the management of Marriott’s son, Bill. He grew up working in the family business, and over the next 25 years, Marriott became a diverse global enterprise. Bill Marriott became a visionary CEO who transformed the hospitality industry and shaped Marriott into one of the world’s leading hospitality companies.

Recruitment process

Your application will get sent to the Talent Acquisition team and will be reviewed. If your experience and qualifications are a good fit for that specific role, they will contact you to schedule an initial conversation (phone screen).

The next step is one or several interviews, either via phone, virtual, or in-person.
