Please describe your company's culture both in the office and after hours. Let us know about the structure and hierarchy, cooperation and teamwork, and socialising amongst colleagues.
Good company culture, easy to communicate & socialize with everyone including employees in higher positions. Very helpful colleagues, plenty of events to learn and relax at the office and outside of office (particularly DPG)

Every week we have events planned by Developing Professionals Group during the work hours and after hours to socialize and networking with colleagues from different background. It's also a great opportunity to meet new people and make friends.

We have a section outing every quarterly.A coffee runs every morning with most of us.In office its mostly working catch up for lunches with mates.

Not a lot of afterhours events.

Working with very friendly team, it's very safe to work in the office after hours.

It is a comfortable and happy workplace most of the time

The team culture is generally one of the better parts of working at this company. Company wide, the culture is okay but the different teams are a bit siloed.

My boss shows concern when I work overtime. He does not encourage us to work after hours so that's a relief. I rarely feel like I'm being micromanaged so that's good. There are also social events we can participate in here in the Manila office, enabling us to interact with people from other teams.

The leaders and seniors are very approachable, hierarchy isn't very strongly emphasized, we work as a team to deliver work. Company social events held to help with mingling with colleagues that may not have been encountered due to projects. Efforts are put to bring everyone together, though generally speaking from team to team culture will vary slightly, and smaller teams appear more close knit compared to large ones.

There is not much culture within the office outside everyone's direct team, everyone just keeps to themselves. Outside office hours there's good initiative of events just not as many people getting to them.
Graduate, Perth
Occasional gathering for the whole company, both in the aspect of entertainment and work.
Graduate, Adelaide
It used to be non-existent as we were a relatively new acquisition, however it is growing. More socializing events are being run and camaraderie is growing.

Stantec has great culture for developing professionals, with many social events organised and paid for by the company, a drink fridge for Friday afternoons, and an annual developing professionals challenge weekend.

In the office the culture is pretty boring - there are cliques and some friendships groups who eat lunch together and hang out more. Most people at Stantec are friendly and say hi and bye in the kitchen and open to a general conversation. Senior staff eat lunch at their desks and don't socialize much but the younger staff are keen. Outside of work is fun if you are part of the cliques group. There is usually something organized and open for people to join in.

Team culture is good, work is to be spread around as much as possible and the seniors are helpful and encouraging. We often have lunches together where we socialize.

In the office: Within our team we have a very great dynamic, a good relationship with our seniors and team leads, they are very approachable and have created a great social culture within our team. We have a great team which makes it easy to get things done when working in smaller teams. Outside of the office: While it is natural to develop friendships with colleagues outside of work, there are some situations where the line between friendships outside of work and the level of professionalism within the office has been blurred.

Company culture is good within my office, i have seen the opposite in other offices though.

At Stantec I would say the culture is pretty good - often eating together as a team or going out for lunch with groups in the office.
