Good mentors & teachers - always take time out of their busy schedule to answer doubts and questions.

Well in our company managers can't be the mentors it would be either the Senior engineer or the Project engineer for a Grad. My manager is Awesome gives his time to everyone to make sure they are happy around

Overall, the managers I have had have been excellent. Generally, they have been very accessible and have the necessary skills for mentoring, managing and fostering a good team.

I've gone through different managers during rotation, they've all been very nice approachable people, some are better mentors than others in regards to having more active check ins to the team and building more personal relationships, but at the baseline we all have monthly check ups to see how members are going.

My managers are the best I've ever worked with/for.

It depends what you mean by managers. Our business leaders are based in Perth and initially they were a bit hands-off, we recently got a new BCL and he appears on first impressions to actually care and have a plan on how to proceed. So at first my first instinct was to rate them lower, but the new BCL should be good and move us forward in the right direction and achieve the growth that has been desired for a few years now, which is why I rated them a bit higher. If you mean my local team leaders then the rating would have been higher. They are very hands-on and know how to properly deal with colleagues and are very easy to talk to and discuss work with.

I have regular catch-ups with my manager with intentional discussions around goal setting, workload and any feedback or issues. Work and achievements are celebrated and recognized well.

The team leaders are excellent, the group leads are pretty bad and the role is pointless and the BC leader is fantastic. The group leaders deserve more credit, they are running the ship, providing feedback and recognition and trying hard to make the staff happy. the group leads do nothing in terms of culture and people and the BC manager is doing everything quite well

The managers in my team are good.

I have a great Team lead and mentor. I feel appreciated, seen and supported.

I am very happy with my line manager, I feel she has my best interest in mind and aims to work towards my goals. the hierarchy of management means there are a range of steps and people to go through for movement. I feel some resistance to transferring / lateral career movement options from my higher up manager
Graduate, Brisbane
My managers are very good, they make good mentors and are approachable, have good communication and give me feedback on my work.
Graduate, Sydney
Most I've worked with have been really good. Particularly the ones I work with. Can't speak to others but my Team lead in particular is really good as a mentor. Open and honest communication, good advice and guidance, and provides actionable feedback for you to take in and work on.
