The opportunity:
This graduate opportunity sits in the Group Risk team and will focus on internal audits, a newly expanded function which oversees the internal auditing of assets and projects within Stockland. The internal audit team provides an independent and reliable way of knowing if Stockland's controls are effective and working appropriately.
In this position you will support with the delivery of asset or project audits, providing you with the opportunity to better understand key aspects of asset management and development, financial management, governance and risk management. You will also have the exposure to and will be liaising with a broad range of stakeholders across the business. In addition, you will be working collaboratively with the outsourced Internal Auditor in the delivery of the approved annual internal audit plan, as well as other key members of the Group Risk function (including Corporate Risk, Operational Risk and Compliance) on opportunities to enhance our risk management framework. As part of your programme there may be an option to study towards a relevant professional qualification, for example CPA and CFA.
This role has broad exposure and provides a launch-pad to understand the operations of a successful ASX 200 business. Longer term the opportunity could provide an opportunity to work in risk, compliance or other business units / functions within Stockland (e.g. asset and property management, operations, finance).
This position is based in Sydney.

Requirements:
The position is open to all graduates with a preference for applicants who have studied a Finance, Commerce, Economics or Accounting related degree. To be eligible you should have achieved a 60% grade point average or above (GPA) either to date or overall in your degree subject. Please attach a copy of your transcript to your application so that this can be cross-referenced.
This position will interact with stakeholders across various groups of Stockland's business, therefore the ability to build strong working relationships and adapt dependent on the team you are supporting is critical for success. You should additionally be numerically able, enjoy working with data and drawing commercial conclusions from this information. Attention to detail is also critical in this position.
To be eligible for the Stockland programme you must currently be studying for or have completed a suitable degree in the last 24 months of the programme start date. This programme will start in February 2019, but we are happy to discuss an earlier start date if you have already graduated.
