We provide key resources, processes and systems to help maximise Asia Pacific Japan's (APJ) use & impact of Corporate and APJ sourced content, channels, reporting and documentation.

Standardising and harmonising country, APJ and Corporate processes to ensure one comms business operating system works across the region to minimise bureaucracy and maximise operational efficiency at Asia Pacific Japan, country PR manager and agency support level.

Standardising PR and AR metrics and reporting across country, region and global. Driving this process and implementing at the direction of the APJ Director of Communications. This will include development and deployment of metrics that align with global measurement, as set by US Corporate Communications.

Core resources:

Ensuring key resources are accessible by in-country PR managers and agencies. These core resources are cooperated with the Asia Pacific Japan Director of Communications and in-country PR managers but should include as a starting point:

  • Being able to master APJ calendar tracking PR/AR/IC + e-suite/APJ SVP/CTO executive visits with tiered announcements/programs by country
  • We need you to handle content calendar for any social media /blogs/tweets from key APJ execs (local + regional)
  • Master content calendar & repository for IC comms at Asia Pacific Japan and country level
  • Update bios/images for APJ execs
  • Core APJ + country backgrounders/one pagers for media, analysts, visiting exec briefing books;
  • Policy and process documents (Press Release approvals; document translation processes and/or suppliers/contractors; core list of agency contacts across APJ and countries; etc.)
  • Centralised reporting repository for corporate, APJ and per country (for agency WIP reporting; monthly results reporting to business; clips and influencer analysis and tracking; etc.)
  • Centralised list of APJ level and country level media and influencers for AR/PR/SM
  • Management of APJ and Corporate Comms reporting requirements – both formal and informal (e.g. ad hoc requests for data or other information)
  • Crisis comms plan or process at APJ level and at country level, including comms team call trees, other interdependencies (liaison and engagement with Corporate Communications to ensure integrated plans and processes)
  • Spokesperson training materials and guidance/policy documents/processes
  • Keeping up-to-date records on agency agreements, fee rate cards, SoWs, etc. for APJ and in-country agencies (these will not be kept on the shared resource and will be held on a secure OneDrive accessible only to the APJ Director of Comms and this role)
  • Ensuring 'One Source of Truth' exists for APJ Communications in terms of where this information is housed and accessed by APJ comms, in-country comms managers and also with agencies
  • A key performance metric of this role will be the ongoing updating and management of these key materials and reports.
  • You will support APJ Director of Communications to ensure the smooth running of the function at global, regional and local level
  • Standardising planning templates for quarterly and yearly planning – driving the planning process itself
  • Operationalizing metrics and tracking/reporting mechanisms to ensure all programs, campaigns and events are evaluated and analysed as part of our continuous improvement processes at APJ and country level
  • You will handle and ongoing facilitation a reviews program for APJ, using resources and processes from Corporate Communications and customising for APJ in-country use
  • Centralised budgeting and budget reporting, you will work with India finance team closely on this
  • The operational excellence of the APJ comms teams and social media impact will key metrics in this role.
