Salary at Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO)
- Average rating for Salary, based on 19 reviews8.6 / 10
What are your thoughts on pay and bonuses at your company?
Very competitive remuneration package.
Good starting salary.
Pay is good for a graduate.
Pay is in line with experience and industry. Overtime and on-call arrangements are reasonable.
Bonuses are not based on individual performance and hence is a hindrance for some people's motivation. Overall compensation is in line with the industry.
At the moment I would consider my salary competitive within the industry but do have concerns how this will track 5 - 10 years into the future. It seems that people do find better offers elsewhere once they are further into their career.
AEMO pays an above-market rate for graduates in the industry. The bonus scheme is calculated fairly and is applied to everyone in the organisation based on a company-wide score.
They are very good!
Competitive for the industry.
What are your company's best or most unusual perks? For example: free tickets, free dinners, moving expenses, taxis, pension, etc.
Volunteer leave (4 days a year for paid leave to volunteer).
Free beer some Fridays.
Moving expense help, paid for work related travel (taxis, hotel, airfare), flexibility to extend a work travel trip to spend personal time in that area, study financial assistance, industry memberships.
Free lunches, cabs, and some events/functions related to the industry.
