What projects/initiatives does your employer run and what have you worked on personally?
Support many local communities they operate in.
Graduate, Perth / Port Hedland
I don't know how to rate this. Sustainability is one of our core values and I think the business tries very hard to nurture the communities and environments we operate in. We do a lot of work with endangered species within our operations including the Night Parrot, Ghost Bat and assorted Troglofauna. I have been directly involved with the protection of the local towns drinking water supply. I felt that project was executed very well.

A lot of involvement with the indigenous communities around the area in which we work. A lot of community involvement within the Roxby Downs area. Involvement with education based camps to increase knowledge in STEM for Indigenous teens (personal involvement with this one - opportunity to talk to teens about personal STEM experience).

Appears to be a lot of work going into Reconciliation Action Plan, ethical supply chain, supporting local communities and businesses and charities. When I was a student, I participated in an Engineers Without Borders study tour which BHP supplied industry mentors to.
