What are your thoughts on pay and bonuses at your company?
Pay needs to be higher. Bonuses do not exist
Graduate, Sydney
My current pay level covers my bills, but not much more. I have been fortunate that my current team has offered opportunities to work overtime and earn extra flex.
Graduate, Adelaide
Public services N/A on bonuses but the pay is fair.
Graduate, Canberra
Pay for the graduate program as a social worker is not worth it if there is no specific educational aspect that is relevant to the social work stream and enhances our learning as social workers
Graduate, Adelaide
I think the SES and Chief Executive officer pay bands are a little ludicrous for public servants in general. I understand the need to pay competitive salaries but to think people who have direct lines of contact with customers are paid exponentially less than Cheif Executive Officers is similar to corporate practice. I believe the agency needs to work on making pay and working conditions better primarily for frontline and technical staff as they're the people who make everything work at the end of the day.
Graduate, Adelaide
As a graduate my pay is at the lower scale, however I am satisfied knowing that it will increase multiple times over the next year or two. I don't think we receive bonuses, but the pay increases according to CPI.
Graduate, Adelaide
Need to be increased
Graduate, Melbourne
I would like to be paid more. I will be next year by 25% which is something important to look forward to.
Graduate, Adelaide
Pay is alright for now, more bonuses outside of increased super would be nice.
Graduate, Perth
It's okay for a graduate but rapidly becomes inadequate after graduation, and the current pay offer doesn't look like it even will keep up with inflation.
Graduate, Adelaide
I think I am fairly remunerated for the work that I do and I look forward to progressing at the end of the program. I hope the pay offer from the APSC increases but at the moment I am happy with what I am recieving.
Graduate, Brisbane
Pay is adequate, though not enough to sustain given the cost of living. Bargaining has been drawn out so long also, so any pay rises are TBA. There are no bonuses.
Graduate, Adelaide
Should generally be higher but it is not poor.
Graduate, Brisbane
Bonuses? hahah Union is fighting for a decent payrise. Albo is being a stinge.
Graduate, Perth
Decent but wold obviously like to be paid more, especially in legal where we could be making a lot more
Graduate, Canberra
Pay rises are coming!!
Graduate, Melbourne
Decent salary at graduate level if you have done something higher than a Bachelor's degree
Graduate, Brisbane
Agency couldn't careless about their workers and would pay them less if they could.
Graduate, Brisbane
The pay is ok but it is definitely less than the private sector.
Graduate, Brisbane
Services Australia pays less than the rest of the APS, that's why I gave them a 6 out of 10. As one of the largest agencies and the service delivery arm of the APS this should not be the case. I am happy with my grad pay though because it is double of what I was getting at my last job.

What are your company's best or most unusual perks? For example: free tickets, free dinners, moving expenses, taxis, pension, etc.
Superannuation, flexibility of working place
Graduate, Brisbane
There are no perks
Graduate, Sydney
As a remote worker, isolated from the rest of my team who are located in Canberra, I recently enjoyed flying to Canberra for a Graduate event (accommodation, flights, taxis, meals, all paid for), and took advantage of the chance to meet them all in person.
Graduate, Adelaide
moving expenses were good.
Graduate, Canberra
No idea. I have not seen any perks.
Graduate, Adelaide
Flex time is certainly a perk but I believe it is incumbent upon all entry level staff to not abuse this privilege and understand that the people who have served the agency for a many number of years should get precedence in being able to take this leave. The ability to choose my own schedule is a big reason why I think I will continue to work here as the growing need to work multiple jobs to make ends meet is becoming the norm
Graduate, Adelaide
I am not aware of any of the above perks - we get flex time which is good, other than that there are not a lot.
Graduate, Adelaide
I had a good amount of extra pay while on a 10-week work trip recently.
Graduate, Adelaide
There is a government program with sony which offers discounts.
Graduate, Perth
No perks
Graduate, Melbourne
The general public service attitude towards work which means when you're done at 5 you're done for the day.
Graduate, Adelaide
There are no fiscal perks really. The work-life balance is pretty good.
Graduate, Brisbane
I am unaware of any perks
Graduate, Brisbane
Public service: Absolutely no perks. Imagine what an outrage it would be if taxpayers were expected to fund tea and coffee in the Centrelink lunchroom! Where's Albo?
Graduate, Perth
Generous leave and flex time
Graduate, Canberra
Leave policies Travel allowances Plenty of others
Graduate, Melbourne
moving expenses if you are moving to another city
Graduate, Brisbane
The flex-time and leave policies are excellent.
Graduate, Brisbane
The whole of my transfer from where I lived to where I now work was fully paid for including car transfer and removalists.
Graduate, Other (Please specify) - Dubbo
I have not been aware of any perks. Salary packaging options aren't even that good.
