Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islanders at National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA)

NDIA is “All In” for a brilliant future. They are committed to encouraging everyone to be human, courageous and brilliant.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are an important part of what makes Australia unique. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are respected as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which the NDIA conducts its business.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees have access to:

  • Individual support throughout the application process
  • Support from NDIA’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Liaison Officer
  • An active Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Employee Network (ATSIEN) which enables employees to connect with each other on a national basis and provide a forum to build our "community" within the Agency.
  • Access to NAIDOC and cultural leave.

NDIA is committed to reconciliation and works with their Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees to recognise National Reconciliation Week and NAIDOC Week each year.

These initiatives are supported by NDIA’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Employment Strategy and Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan.
