Gender Equality at GMHBA

GMHBA is committed to gender equality and the empowerment of our female workforce.

At GMHBA, we are passionate about creating a culture of belonging for everyone.  It’s who we are.  We have created a workplace where all employees feel valued and respected, regardless of their backgrounds or identities. We know that if we nurture this sense of belonging, our people will feel empowered to strive to their fullest potential.

GMHBA’s DEI strategy defines the actions we will take around our key themes:

GMHBA is committed to gender equality and the empowerment of our female workforce. Currently, 50% of our executive team are women, 3 out of 7 of our Directors are women (including the Board Chair) and 48% of our senior leadership team are women.

Other ways we support gender equality and our female workforce at GMHBA:

  • International Women's Day Events - we see this as an important day to celebrate the achievements of our female (and female-identifying) staff and advocate for gender equality.
  • Family Violence policy - We support staff experiencing family violence with a range of practical initiatives (eg changes to the span of hours or pattern or hours; job redesign or changes to duties; relocation to suitable employment within GMHBA; a change to contact details to avoid harassing behavior etc.)
  • A range of policies to support Parents and Carers
  • Unconscious Bias training for leaders across GMHBA
