Here are some ways that we support Parents and Carers:

  • Paid parental leave is available to all primary caregivers at GMHBA (and we have recently increased our period of paid parental leave to 14 weeks!)
  • Superannuation is also paid on parental leave (this isn’t a requirement under most Awards but an ‘extra’ if you work with us)
  • Purchased leave - GMHBA employees are also able to apply for additional weeks of leave in addition to annual leave (helpful over all those weeks of school holidays or to help care for an elderly parent etc)
  • Flexible Working Arrangements and Remote Working options - offers choice and flexibility for our people, trusting them to make the best decisions as to where they work - whether it be office or at home.
  • Primary and secondary caregivers can access our excellent GMHBA +Baby program and receive:
    • Pregnancy health labour and birth preparation
    • Lactation and feeding support from birth to age 3
    • Personalised sleep program from birth to age 3
    • Personalised sleep and settling telephone support from birth to age 3
    • Emotional health and well-being support
    • First aid and CPR for babies and toddlers
